San Diego STEAM
To celebrate 2023 World Oceans Day I designed a STEAM lesson plan that was shared with San Diego Unified School District teachers as a free resource to celebrate the ocean in their classrooms. The lesson uses drawing and dance to think critically about plankton physiology, and how planktonic organisms are adapted to survive in the ocean. The lesson is designed in alignment with Next Generation Science Standards and Ocean Literacy Principles for third grade.
